YNSA is a "Made in Japan" acupuncture method with a consistent theory and proven track record. It has its own reflex zones and diagnostic methods distinct from Chinese scalp acupuncture, and its highly reproducible effects regardless of the practitioner's individual skill are why it is supported by doctors around the world.
As the name "scalp acupuncture" suggests, needles are inserted into the scalp, using extremely fine 0.25mm diameter needles. Because the insertion is into the scalp, most people feel almost no pain. YNSA is also a treatment system distinct from conventional acupuncture, which uses meridians and acupoints (so-called "tsubo").
Basic YNSA treatment uses nine basic points (reflex zones), labeled A through I, located on the head. These new acupoints discovered by Dr. Yamamoto and his predecessors correspond to conditions throughout the body, and a unique diagnostic method is used to identify the points that need treatment.
On your first visit, we will carefully ask about your current symptoms, how they developed, and your treatment history. Please feel free to consult us even if you have struggled for years with no improvement anywhere else, or if you would prefer to avoid surgery.
Treatment is by appointment only. Please call to make a reservation before visiting. For your first visit, plan for approximately 60-90 minutes including the consultation and treatment.
Please note that for conditions such as stroke or paralysis, YNSA is intended for patients past the acute phase. If you are currently hospitalized or undergoing acute-phase treatment, please consult your primary physician first.
We also welcome inquiries from those who are unsure whether this treatment is right for them.
Please feel free to contact us by phone first.
