Myers' Cocktail is designed so that multiple nutrients work synergistically, producing a greater effect than administering any single nutrient alone.
It is important that Myers' Cocktail be administered appropriately under a doctor's supervision. Our clinic has put the following measures in place to provide a safe and reassuring environment for treatment.
If any of the following apply to you, please be sure to inform the doctor in advance. Depending on your symptoms or condition, we may decline to perform the treatment.
If you are currently taking or using any medication, please be sure to inform us at your visit. Interactions have been reported in particular with the medications below.
| Medication / Substance | Possible Interaction |
|---|---|
| Erythropoiesis-stimulating agents (epoetin, darbepoetin, etc.) |
Concurrent use with intravenous vitamin B6 may reduce the response to red blood cell production. Patients with chronic kidney disease or undergoing cancer treatment should be especially cautious. |
| Blood pressure medications (calcium channel blockers, ARBs, etc.) |
Interaction with magnesium may cause blood pressure to drop further. |
| Ceftriaxone (injectable antibiotic) | Combination with calcium can form insoluble precipitates, potentially damaging the kidneys, lungs, or gallbladder. We do not co-administer this during the IV drip. |
| Diuretics & alcohol (heavy consumption) | May disrupt electrolyte balance (magnesium, potassium), which can affect the safety of the IV drip. |
If you are taking any other medication not listed above, please let us know during the interview at your visit. The doctor will confirm safety before proceeding.
Administered slowly via IV drip over approximately 30-60 minutes. Adjusting the infusion speed minimizes the temporary vasodilation sensation (warmth or flushing) caused by magnesium. Many patients begin to feel relaxed and notice reduced fatigue even during the drip.
We also offer a Super Myers' drip with added glutathione (3A), depending on your symptoms and goals.
On your first visit, we will ask about your symptoms, goals, current medications, and medical history, determine whether the treatment is appropriate, and then administer the drip. Please allow approximately 60-90 minutes total, including the interview and treatment.
For chronic fatigue or lowered immunity, continuing once weekly for 3-5 sessions makes the effects easier to establish. After that, we recommend maintenance sessions once or twice a month.
Please inform us in advance if you have kidney failure, are on dialysis, have serious heart disease or hypokalemia, or are pregnant or breastfeeding. If you are currently taking any medication, please bring something that shows the medication names (such as a medication notebook).
If you feel like your fatigue never goes away, or you want to fundamentally improve your overall condition, please reach out. Our doctor will provide careful counseling and recommend a drip tailored to you.
