Vitamin C, whose blood concentration cannot be raised significantly through ordinary diet or supplements, is supplied directly at high concentration via IV drip. When blood vitamin C concentration exceeds a certain threshold (about 0.4mM), it has been reported to exert a selective anti-tumor effect by generating hydrogen peroxide in cancer cells, and is used as a supportive cancer treatment at clinics around the world.

A comprehensive recent review (2025) by a surgical team at Capital Medical University (Beijing) analyzing over 150 prior studies. It establishes that pharmacological blood concentrations of vitamin C (20-30 mM) can only be achieved through intravenous administration, and organizes the four anti-tumor mechanisms that operate at this concentration, described below. It also notes that clinical data is accumulating showing the potential for reduced side effects (such as fatigue and gastrointestinal symptoms) and improved quality of life when combined with chemotherapy or radiotherapy, while concluding that larger trials are still needed regarding optimal dose, administration method, and patient selection.

The dose is selected according to your goals. For cosmetic and immune-boosting purposes, 25g is typical; for supportive cancer care, 50-75g administered once or twice a week is typical. Before high-dose administration (50g or more), a test for G6PD (glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase) deficiency is required (first time only).

On your first visit, we will ask about your goals, current treatment status, and medications during the interview. If you wish to receive 50g or more, a G6PD test (blood draw) will be done first.

For those visiting for supportive cancer care, bringing your current physician's treatment plan and test data allows us to make more specific recommendations. We also welcome consultations from those who find it difficult to discuss this with their primary physician.
